New Jacket...Kidney Belt
#23
You throw the "poser" comment around pretty easily. Like you're intimately familiar with the term. But that pic is funny.

While in Kentucky last week I saw a guy with a leather kidney belt done up like some sort of HD pro wrestling belt..... I didn't realize that it actually was a kidney belt ( thought maybe it was for something else while draped over his shoulder....... felt kinda bad for commenting on it as I'll bet it is really nice to ride with.... too over the top for me, but if it works for him who am I to judge.......
my $0.02.... I really like my joe rocket Big Air jacket as I can zip the panels out and enjoy the breeze when I need it....

Before I gush about this, I have NO affiliation to leatherup.com
My jacket from leatherup.com just came and I am blown away. I can not believe the quality of this jacket.

I spent a little extra for the highest grade leather and it was sooo worth it...it feels broken in already. It is armored in the shoulders and elbows and heavily padded along the lower back. It is a little on the heavy side but I think it makes me feel more protected than if it were too light. Plenty of vents, brass YKK zippers, removable liner, zippered sleeves, laced sides...you get the picture. I think they run pretty true to size. I was comfortable in a Large at the HD dealership and I used that as my guide.
The one feature that I really liked about the Harley FXRG that this doesn't have is the kidney belt but those can be bought. I may just have someone sew snaps into the lining and add the belt.
My final price for the jacket was $211, that includes shipping! The price online for the Jacket was $240 (down from $350) and I found a coupon code for 15% off. (the code is 4STURGIS). I can't imagine getting a much better jacket at any price. and it was here in 1 week!
