Default Phone holder for handle bars (droid X, incredible, Iphone)

I found this today and thought I'd share it with you incase you hadn't seen it.

http://www.arkon.com/Smartphone_Holder.php

Look for item SM427.

Any thoughts? Anyone already own/used this?

I'm going to upgrade to the Droid X in a month and I've been looking for a handlebar mount for it.

I worry enough about it falling out of my pocket.

Yeah I worry about that too. I would definitely want to test it before hitting the road.

If your going to get something like that don't get anything that is Spring loaded as a bump can cause it to open up.

I'm getting one of these as I already use one that is suction cup in my Jeep with no problems. This holds the Phone and is molded for my Phone just think it's a better solution as I have used many as I normally Upgrade every year and have tried many different types

My concern would be the effect of vibration and shock on the function/reliability of the phone. Some of the low cost GPS units work fine but they have a little more shock isolation circuitry built-in than the DroidX.

Pants pocket works real well for me.

Saddlebag works better (can't interrupt a perfectly good ride).

I keep my phone in my tool bag..... I don't need the distraction.

Ram mounts. The side tabs lock.

I've used them for years on different equipment. Never failed me.

,

Well my Cell is not just a Cell. I can stream Pandora (music) , I can use several Navigation apps, I can even use it like the SpeedO and record Speed mileage and other factors . I can Live stream to record Video of my ride ( use this when doing Group functions) . I can even do Voice Text if I wanted but no real need for that or using it as a cell.

But really it keeps me from carrying multiple devises with me.
