Does that have anything to do with the crap gauge accuracy? I always thought they were supposed to build quality parts in Japan.

Still love my bike cant do much about where its made ..... The MOCO is a business its out to make the most profit it can ...... not sayin i agree with the mark up but if it can get it made cheaper elsewhere its gonna go there ..... We have the same issues in England with businesses ..... On the question about gauge accuracy i have had now 4 flush mount gauge sets fitted to my fatboy because they have all been faulty ...

This is an internet forum - they probably don't. They probably aren't old enough for a driver's license yet.

Good point. Vizio is US made, but I have a Sony. Country of manufacture on my TV was not a factor for me at all.

Could also be that the HD production line does not take the time to calibrate/adjust the damn things or an engineering error from Milwaukee.

I guess since there ain't a damn thing I can do about it it really doesn't matter. We all know how good it would feel if we could brag about our beloved twin being 100% made in USA.Can say for certain my desire to own a Harley is soo strong that I will take it no matter the percentage.

No, it doesn't have anything to do with it
.
There is no float associated with the fuel gauge, it is an electronic sensor mounted to the fuel pump.

Now, whether the sensor is made elsewhere, I wouldn't know.
