The michelin's (oem) on my dyna are looking really good for having 4700 miles. I haven't tried them in the rain. 1/2 those miles are powder puff miles with the OL

ive had great results with dunlop but have not ran any on a harley

Ran factory dunlops on the 09 road glide.... got 15K and could have gone another 2 or 3 K but got a nail in the back tire. Seemed okay, but just put Metzler on, and the ride is much improved, however I was told I'd only get between 8 and 13K on these. I like the ride so much better that I'd sacrifice mileage for comfort and confidence in them. Seems like they go over expansion joints on the freeway smoother.... I don't get the handlebar jerk like I did on the dunlops. I think the dunlops were slipperier in wet weather too. JMO

My 08 FLHT got 21,000 on my original rear. (Dunlop402), 20,000 on my second. I had a road hazard replacement while on a road trip on my third at 14,000 (free replacement) with 5/32 left. My front is still the original one the bike came with , 55,000 miles. I'll change it this week even though it still has almost half the thread still on it.

You're not going to get much mention of Michelin on this forum.

I've run a Michelin Commander on the back of my Fatboy (150/80 x16) for almost 2 years now, 18,000+ miles (just checked), and don't have one bad thing to say about em. Solid on any type of road surface and in the rain. AND, I've probably got another 2-3k left on it.

My next set of skins will be Michelin's, front and back.

I use Pirelli Night Dragons and they are so superior to the stock Dunlops, it was like getting on a different bike after there installation. I have 2 other bikes that will have them also as funds become available.

Just dropped the wheels off my Ultra this afternoon, with new E3's going on front and rear. The rear is at 17,000 and the wear markers are now just showing. This will be my first E3 on the front, replacing the second stock harley Dunlop. 46, 700 total miles on bike. This will be my fifth rear tire going on.

Just changed out my 3rd set of stock Dunlop 402 for Metzler 880 Marathon. Whole different bike now, wouldn't go back. The handling is tremendous.

Dunlop E3 lasted past 10k on my ultra rear wheel I will change it at 13k I routinely get 20k on a front tire i never heard anybody who got 50k on a motorcycle tire .
This Dunlop E3 is the only tire i ever road past 10k on the back and i have about 200k total on ultras

Tires should depend on your riding habits and local weather conditions . Dunlop makes a wide range of performance profile tires for heavy bikes do some reading to find what's best for you . I run Avon's by choice they are designed in England for the road & weather conditions you find in Europe & bikes tend run a little harder there . I'm a combat rider I'll use all the chicken strip on the side of a tire sometimes on wet roads & high mile road trips included so what I require wouldn't be your best choice & visa versa . Lots of info on the net on this subject do some homework .

Reading some of these you'll get the drift of what I,m trying to say like the post about the Metzlers , they come 2 ways soft & sticky ( 5000mi. max life ) or hard as a wedding dick and just as squirrely .
