Default Osprey Saddlebags...

I'm considering a pair. And while I know pics help a bunch, there's nothing like being able to see 'em in person.

So...anyone near the eastern KY area have a set? If so, would you be willing to meet somewhere in the middle and let me check 'em out?

PM me if you're looking for an excuse to ride!

All I can tell you is that a buddy had them on a Kawasaki Vulcan Drifter, and they were very well made, and carried quite a volume of stuff.

If I were in the market for bags, I'd consider them, Boss bags and Iron Bags.

Try posting this in the Softail section of the forums. Quite a few people that post there have Osprey bags. Just not sure how many are from Kentucky.

I bought a set of Hydra-Glide reproduction bags from them back in '98 and hung them on my '94 Heritage. They really gave it a proper "old school" look. They were reasonably priced and excellent quality-much thicker leather than Harley bags. Twelve years and 110,000 milles later, they're still on the bike and still look great.

A friend of mine, who used to buy them all the time for bikes he restored, told me the company has been sold to new owners since I bought mine, so I can't speak for the current line.

Thanks, DD&Weevil, I'll do that. And thanks for the review, Uncle G. I'm pretty sold on the quality...it's a design question I have.

The Buffalo Bags I'm interested in have a zipper opening, & I'm not sure how that works when it comes to getting stuff in & out. I can't picture it in my head as easy access, so I'm hoping I can see some and get an idea of how it works in real life.
