Default Yea, another helmet thread

Ok, buck up and post a few pics this time. There are so many states cracking down, not just on pipes recently, but on helmets to. I got my second ticket for a non DOT helmet, so I guess its time. I like many others have started the search for a helmet that meets DOT certification, will offer protection if your noggin does hit the pavement, but doesn't make you look like your wearing an AFRO from the 60's. Post a pic with it on your noggin and some specifics, make, where purchased etc. It will be helpful to many here, myself included...Thanks

it doesn't exist... you're going to look like a penishead or the great gazoo. but at least you won't get tickets or give a cop a reason to pull you over. and it'll offer you better protection for your noggin.

What babalu said. I have both a Fulmer half and a HJC polo, both DOT and the Fulmer is just a tad lower profile than the HJC.

I too used to worry about looking goofy... but not one person said a word about it. It's only you that thinks you look goofy with a dot. Once you pick the one that fits you properly... you'll never worry about it again. Remember... the fit is very important!

If you're in a helmet required state, just get a DOT half helmet that fits properly, you like and don't worry about it. Everyone else will probably look more goofy than you. Personally, I think people in shorts and tennis shoes look like dorks on Harleys...but that's another thread!

Dang! You've been a member all of 5 months and already have a pretty poor attitude

You need to be a bit quicker with that edit button...

No I don't think so, Actually if you look at my posts I already made a thread about this very thing and so have many many others.

And for a guy whos been on since 07, you are a little sensitive, especially since I wasn't talking to you.
