From new or whatever. Any former shovel riders here? Remember top-end jobs at 20K or so?

and still riding one, though the S&S engine i put in it 6 years ago makes a huge difference in power and reliability.

Had 3--a '68,'78,&'84. The 84 was the only one that didn't give me any problems--sold it to a buddy of mine in '90 & he is still riding it. Can't beat the sound of a shovel.

LOL ...They say99% of the ironheads made are still on the road...The other 1% actually made it home from the dealership.

Default 78 flh

Had a 1978 FLH, never had a problem with it, was a great bike, rode it all over southern California when I was stationed at Camp Pendleton. Had the old floating seat, the one with the post that went down into the frame and just kinda floated you along, the wife and I loved that old Harley, made for some great times

My Dad still has his shovel (73). Has owned it since the mid 70s. I've got an ironhead. It's still on the road.

I had three. My '81 FXWG was a great bike, my '84 FLH was an even better one. I still have this engine which is an early Sidewinder 103". 5" stroke with 3 5/8" big bore cylinders. A lot of fun in the '56 rigid frame it was mounted in!!!!
