thanks..what are the key visual differences..im new at all this so bare with me

also a freind is doin most of my building..i am the supervisor lol..i see it he does it..

whats a fair price on a motor like this..

used unknown milage, suppose to have s&s heads, ran when disassembled?

what would a full rebuild cost with no labor.. and more importantly whats it gonna take to make it complete? Carb, breather, ignition, and starter?those seem to be the main things!

Just did a quick search of completed listings on ebay and the ones that sold went for around $1,000.00 to $2,500.00 depending on their condition.

Here's a link to the completed listing page. The ones that sold have the price in green.

That's a tough question to answer without knowing what it looks like inside. I guess the 1st thing I would do is a cylinder leak down test. The jugs pistons and valves might be just fine. Then I'd open it up and start doing a visual and then measure clearances. it might not need anything or could need everything. Two things that it's gonna need are a stator and a carb. Can't expect anyone to be able to answer your question just from seeing a picture of the primary side of the motor.

I wish Harley would go back to EVOs. I've owned pans, shovels,EVOs and even a two cycle. I currently own a twin cam and the Evos were the best engine Harley ever made by FAR!
