Check out:
www.BikerAccess.com

I bought the Classic Motorcycle jacket for $120 and am very happy with it, especially on these cold New York nights recently:

Eli is the owner and has a shop in Northern New Jersey. He's a great guy to deal with.

Yeah, I bought mine at a local leather shop that has a pretty big motorcycle section. Super heavy, fully lined with pockets galore. A real nice jacket...I paid an even hundred for it.

Check out www.dragginjeans.com for heavy weight, CE armored riding jackets for about $200. I have one and can't believe the quality for how inexpensive it was. Also check out the kevlar reinforced jeans. A pair has saved my **** (literally) once so far.

I don't think I'd get a leather "riding" jacket from mall store, like Wilsons. They sell them for "fashion". Ever heard the saying, "Form over function"? That's exactly what you've found there.

Tommy? Wilsons? If I wanted a leather jacket cheap, I'd go to Ebay and buy a used one that is decent quality. I've bought Schott's on Ebay ranging from $30 used to $250 brand new. No way I'd wear one of those thin cheap Wilsons' jackets, that would cost more anyhow (and No way I'd wear anything that says "Tommy", ever).

Unfortunately, it's winter - you get the best jacket prices in summer.

For super cheap new jackets, there is a place called Rural King near my brother's house that sells farm gear and a lot of biker stuff (vests, jackets, saddlebags, gloves, Harley boots, etc.) They have some pretty nice jackets by Real Work Wear and Interstate for around $100-120, with good looking leather and a lot of features (vents, zip open front panels, extra pockets, etc.).

There's an old saying: you get what you pay for.

I bought an HD leather jacket in '81. Still wearing it.

I bought a Fox Creek a few years ago and it is top notch but it is only a riding jacket. Much to heavy duty for just wearing around.
