I started in 74 with a 500 Yamaha, in 78 got a 650 BSA, in 79 got a new HD Sportster. Got in a bad wreck in 85 on the Sportster and went without a bike for 20 years and then bought a new 2005 Honda 1800 VTX. It was fast but I missed the Harley so I traded up to an 09 Road King Police. I love my bike and without a doubt will never have anything else but a big Harley.

Started on a little red mini-bike in 1969. I think it had a 3hp Tecumseh engine.

Well, I "started out" on a homemade minibike with a lawnmower engine.

But on the street, yeah. Started on a metric and moved up. And IMO, it was definately a move UP. Should have done it years ago.

Dual sport - Ninja - another dual sport - another Ninja - Harley

500 mile days on a dual sport or sport bike will make you seriously appreciate a Harley
