Default New guy question?

I am a new member and just bought a used 2010 Dyna Super Glide Custom with 3200 miles on it. This bike was quite a bargin for me and has a completly unknown history. Where would you folks go from here? Should I take it to a dealer and checked from top to bottom? Is there any way to find out the factory configuation on this bike? Thanks...

Congrats on your new ride. You probably could take the vin # to the dealer and let them run it to see if they can find anything on it. How come no history on it from where you bought it?

I would find a local mechanic, whether an Independent or the dealer, does not matter, important thing is someone who will deal with you honestly, taking the time to answer your questions.

Welcome to the forum. Rule #1....WE LOVE PICTURES!! and............

That having been said, I would suggest you take to your local dealer or Independent Harley shop and let them give it a quick once over. Being that new and with that low mileage I seriously doubt it will have any mechanical issues and if it does it should still be under warranty.

If it were me, I'd take the bike to the local dealership and have them do the 1000 mile service, EVEN if the VIN shows that it has already been done. Also ask them to check for any performance mods. When you get the bike back it'll be good to go!

Unless she's been truly abused, you're probably fine....but an honest mechanic can put all that to rest. You're gonna have a great time with your Dyna (the best bike HD ever built)!!

Why worry about it.

Seriously...

The bike is still under warranty. Ride and take it in if something isn't right.

If you're concerned about it - then go to HD & have them research/service.

If not, I'd get a service manual, do a bike check-over, change fluids & ride. Congrats on the new to you scoot!

Welcome from Florida, with 3200 miles on a 2010 how much history can the bike have? Run the VIN, also make sure the title is clear (most states require some kind of altered title if bike was seriously wrecked), and go from there.
