Default Seat problem

What's the best way to bend the front metal tab so I can move the seat A half inch. Forward so the seat will seat properly to the frame the seat Pan is made out of fiberglass and I'm afraid if I try to bend the tab it will crack the fiberglass any suggestion would be appreciated

remove the tang tab, make alterations to it, put the tang tab back on.

I had to move the tab on my seat because I couldn't get it under the frame. I had an upholstering shop pull the seat cover off. I drilled the rivets out and put spacers in between the seat and the tab. Kind of a hassle, but better than bending the tab and breaking your seat pan. Also the tab is fairly thick. Might be hard to bend. Hope you get it worked out.

Wont moving it forward cause the mounting screw to be out of alignment?
