No! Anybody else read the book "Unintended Consequences" by John Ross?
Just another way to harrass and try to control another segment of the population.

...But the safety on my gun is always on. Unless it's off.

Yes, I wholeheartedly support this vitally important safety measure. I mean, who better than politicians know how to keep us safe and know what's best for all of us and how we should live our lives? After all, they ran for election didn't they? Surely that makes them experts on all subjects! I'm still waiting for the federally funded study on the best, greenest, method of wiping my a$$ because I'm certain I must be doing it wrong.

The last time I got stopped in a "safety check point" and asked for my license & registration I asked what for? They said so they could run them. I asked what for as I was told this was a safety check point and that I was unaware of any failures on my bike. They looked it over really really close and then ended up waving me on with me never handing them my license or registration but I do know that one of the officers called in my plate number and of course it came back clean....

So my view on this subject is NO...It is a blatant violation of our rights!

Fact is....big brother doesn't like bikes.....and things like this are intended to get people to do the safe thing and quit riding them.

That's the tact I take with them along with all the usual fishing questions like where are you from ? Home ....... Where are you going ? For a ride ........ crap like that . Means I get the full montey shakedown but when you know your clean f*ckem and the gestapo treatment I woke up in the United States of America today not **** Germany in 1938 .

What's funny about the whole thing is the real bad boys know all about these stops before they happen and avoid the area , they are designed just to hassle the general public nothing else .
