Do you ride safely or just 'think' you do?

Hard to identify the innocents. There are so very few. If I can't go alone, I'll try to aim for a politician, priest, drunk, or a known felon.

I think I ride pretty safe overall. Yes I’ve taken the MSF course and also bought some nice training videos; what a geek right… There are times when I twist the throttle back (such a rebel) but I’m always trying to pay attention to what’s going on around me. What else can I say.

I like to ride solo and one of the things that involves is recognition that if something goes wrong I'm probably on my own. Just got back from a 2500 mile ride thru the Smokies and Appalachian Mountains, and often rode thru solitary roads with little or no shoulder where if I screwed up and fell off the road it could be a long time before anyone found me! Provides good motivation to think ahead and ride safely.

Back to the OP. I just checked out his site and was compelled to leave a post for him:
You are an investment guy? I guess there is no prerequsite for spelling and grammar in your field. If you are going to take the time and effort to manage a website, don't you think you should learn some writing skills.
Example:
>Once I had a good friend behind me to my right (in scatter formation) just lightly touch the brakes on an oily wet surface – I had put on my signal indicating my intention to do just that.<
Your intention to do "what", exactly? Your intention was to lightly touch your brakes? Drive through an oily surface? What?
And that is only a small sample of your literary dexterity.
Not to mention that some of your "advise" (sic) was bordering on just plain wrong.

I know that I'm not always 100% on the defensive but with over one millon accident free miles in an 18 wheeler, driven all over the USA in all 48 continental states, I believe that I am pretty well conditioned to ride defensively.

They are all drunk, stupid, texting, on the phone, or insane.... I drive like an obnoxious ***** until I find a bubble, then I kick my foots up on the hiway pegs and snap at the wind...
