Blessed Bike...
We got invited to a bike blessing awhile back and it was on my day off so we decided to go. We met at a local carwash about 5pm almost 60 degrees sunny but cool. There where about 20 bikes waiting Hds and metrics alike. We rode to the next town about 20 min ride to receive the blessings. The minister spoke to the group breifly and then prayed individually over each bike and rider. I enjoyed this after last years crash and 6 weeks of couch driveing. The group then went to the American Legion and we enjoyed some good food and met and made new friends. Comradery on 2 wheels is easy to find and has sent us home satified again. A Good Day Today!

In my mind, it sure can't hurt. I had my daughter take my St. Christopher bell to CCD and have it blessed. She said Father got a funny look on his face, but blessed it anyway. Again, good reason to get together and ride!

We had our bikes prayed for in 2002 by Bill Shear from Guts Church in Tulsa at The Freedom Ride which benefits wives & children of public servants who died on 9-11-01.
I plan on spending more time at CMA tents at the rallies this year too.

We're having the 11th Annual Blessing Of The Bikes @ Cook's this Sunday the 8th out here. I think they're also having a Mother's Day Pancake breakfast!

I used to do this every Spring when I lived in Providence, but can't find anywhere out in Texas that does this. Go figure

Kind of a traditioni here in San Antonio on New Year's day. The local CMA has a mass blessing of the bikes.
Went this year for the first time and plan on making it my New Year tradition myself. Hundereds of bikes or every type and make.
