Walmart and Mobil 1 15w-50 availability?

That is about what the price for 20W50 Vtwin Mobil 1n at advance has always been around here For those who use dino in their bikes. Advance has the Valvoline 20W50 for 4 cycle motorcycles for 4.69 a quart 2 bucks cheaper than HD oil. Valvoline does not make a synthetic for motorcycle application. They say that on their website.

A couple of bikes ago I ran the 15/50 in a fresh motor. After 32,000 miles I tore it down for some mods. It had zero wear on it and was cleaner then any motor I have ever torn down. If you check the oil forums it tests out about the same as the 20/50 MC oil. It will break down if you ride in the heat but so do all the other oils. I ride in some real hot temps and run Redline 20/60 but won't ever bash the Mobil 1 15/50.

Glad I could help. That deal actually applies to all Castrol, Mobil1, and Valvoline motorcycle oils.

I gave up on Mobil One. I can get Redline 20W-60 M/C oil for $10.25 a quart out the door at a local distributor if I buy it by the case. Mobil One 20W-50 is pretty close to that same price on the shelves around here and can't find 15W-50 at all anymore. Amsoil is still around $12 a quart plus tax. So Redline it is.

Put out a 'note' on HDForums about the sale and apparently whatever was still available sold out pretty quickly. I tried to order a couple more cases a few days later but it was already gone.
It seems to be a pretty good oil and I used it for one oil change, but I didn't notice any difference between it and the Mobil 1 15W50 I normal use, so I'm holding the rest of the RedLine in reserve for a 'rainy day'....
