Ah... two versions of the article. I was reading all the harsh, judgmental posts thinking, "Are we reading the same story???"

The version I read said they were going no faster than 10 MPH, the father was unresponsive as the son was trying to get his attention, and suddenly the bike accelerated dumping the son right off the back.

I think you may find the autopsy reveals a medical problem for the father.

Wow that sucks, but if he was drinking-then it's hard to feel bad for the guy, i do however feel bad for his fam and son that had to watch his dad die.

Thanks Ockam, that makes a lot more since now.

People just need to slow down and not be in such a damn hurry.
It sounds like some of you people did not read the story it says he was going 5 to 10 miles per hour when he slumped over and that is when the bike speed up and threw the son off

What a difference that mushroom head can make.
That and he got thrown off the back of the bike before it crashed.

Well, the version I read said the dad was slumped over and not responding. Sure sounds like a stroke or heart attack to me which explains a lot.

Damn shame no matter how you dice it.

the news article started out that he was dead because he wasn't wearing a helmet..then said he had a heart attack or stroke, then said he should of had a rider safety course..what is a helmet or extra training going to do for you if you have already keeled over..im so tired of listening to news people talking out of there ***

+1 this article does everthing to mention how dangerous Motorcycles are without reporting what was the true reason.
