That seems to be a pretty abrupt angle where the ramp and the truck bed intersect. Given the angle of that intersect, the bike's wheelbase, and the road clearance of the bike, are you CERTAIN that you won't hang up as you ride it up?

Measure REAL good on this one!!!

Be very careful backing down I went off sideways on mine and the bike came over on top of me. I got a little off center backing off and when I put my foot down I missed the side board and over we went. Luckly I only bent my shifter and broke off a tail light although I think I busted a rib. Now I try to find a ditch or high curb to back up to just a little bit helps with the angle.

Find a ditch or small hill (they are cheap and easy to find) to back the truck up to and you an probably get by with a short 2x12.

I think your ramp needs to be wider, at least another 2x12 to one side for your feet. Your bike is going to take more of that ramp than you think.

why not find a business around U that has loading docks for PU trucks or some one that has a tommy lift on the back to help U let her down... IMO that just don't look safe.

I don't think I would trust my 800+# scooter on that. A friend of mine has a wide home built ramp and uses a small electric winch to load and unload.

#1 How good are the tail gate cables, will it hold a 850lb bike and rider?

#2 Will the bikes rear wheel ride on the taigate? Cables again

#3 Remember that the paint in the bed is very slipery and you have to stop before going through header and window.

#4 Remember to put emergency brakes on truck because when you hit ramp the truck will roll forward, and can seperate from ramp.

Learned all this from years of loading 4 wheelers in truck.

you're going to hurt your bike and maybe yourself.
