i test drove the '11 fatboy lo. damn, that was a smooth ride.
and first HD i rode.

 

I'm 5'10" and have a standard FB. I have made no mods to the "fit" other than pull the stock buckhorn bars back a bit, and had the stock seat foam retrofitted (but not positionally modified) for more comfort.

I also spent some doe and had passenger boards put on the bike for my woman... was a worthwhile mod to the bike.

Never have taken the Lo for a ride, but I will tell you this about my FB... I ride that thing hard and went through my first set of floorboard pans after about 27,000 miles. I know that the Lo's ground clearance is only about 3/10" lower, but it is something to consider.

For your height? ...personally i think that the 1" lower seat of the Lo is going to cram you up a bit.

I would go with the standard if you are going FB.
