Prayers !!
For those that are not aware Dave Taber was in a bad accident this afternoon. They were riding on Highway 1 in the Carmel area when a car came across the center line and hit Dave almost head on. Dave was air lifted to a local trauma center and is currently in ICU.
Condition: Critical
1) Broke both wrist.
2) Left knee shattered
3) Broken Pelvis
4) Internal bleeding.
When he is stable enough they will prioritize the surgeries and begin the repair.

No word on the driver that hit Dave...

Margie said this has been his best day since he has been in the hospital. His white blood count is slightly high which indicates some sort of mild infection. Because he has been flat on his back for a couple of weeks getting a case of pneumonia is not uncommon and would explain the higher count. Just to be safe they are trying to get that count down before the surgery. All external wounds look clean and the pelvis looks ok. They will keep an eye on it and do the knee surgery when that cleans up. He did get to move from the jello to baby food for his meals. They got him up on both legs today. The major pain is in his knee. So looks like he is in the two steps forward mode.
