Earning the Right to become a Boozefighter
OK, you can't tell me that no club member 1% or not has never asked what they would have to do to be in a club. I am sure the vast majority didn't make it. If someone was green enough to ask, I am sure they would be told no, or you have to be a man etc. If that person is serious enough, they will keep coming around and if they play their cards right, they may be a friend of the club or turn into a hang around. after a while they may be asked to be a prospect. Just my .02 but I am a RUB by many standards here.
So some guy asks about being a member and you rip into him?
Maybe I misunderstood, but seems a little harsh?
Years back when I gave it some thought, I ended up catching what turned out to be the secretary of one one the local clubs and considering I was confronting him, I asked if he had a few minutes and could I ask him a few questions, he replied, sure, and I sat with him for better part of a hour asking dumb questions.
Turns out I wasn't ready for that kind of involvement and paid the beer tab and went on my way.
I'd suggest maybe the OP if he wants to join a club this might be the way he goes also.
Be polite and explain what you want.
imho

The most respectful, friendly, and insightful posts in this thread are from actual members of the BFMC.

around. Course that dont mean ****.
Id also like to know where chapter 1 & 2 are located.

I've been following this thread and think a lot of the comments are interesting. I knew the basics of how clubs operated and knew a lot of published history on different clubs. I ran around and talked to all the clubs I thought I may fit in with. When I finally ran across a BF member I went right up and introduced myself. I asked if they had any events coming up and told him I'd like to come support the club. Him and I became friends and he has answered all the dumbass questions for me which has kept me from saying or doing something stupid in front of the wrong people. I think it helps to have your **** straight before you approach someone. I know how to ride (I mean ride, not just operate a motorcycle), I know when to speak and when to be a fly on the wall. The club chooses you, not the other way around. I'm not in but I'm getting there. It isn't a decision you should take lightly. Regardless of the patch you put on things will change for good and bad in your life as long as its a real patch.
Chapter 1 is not a chapter per say, its a memorial to fallen brothers:

Chapter 2 is a chapter in Texas:

The Boozefighters are not 1%ers. They are a Motorcycle club that has been around since 1946. Most anything you would want to learn about the club can be found with google, but a face to face with a member will still yield better results.

Do you know if there is an Arizona chapter?
I'm just a weekend warrior who rides whenever he can, and gets slivers in his **** from sittin' on the fence. But I just may be the guy who runs a block for you and yours, or splits a lane with a stranger. I carry no ill will to anyone who hasn't earned it.

We are all in this together thats how I look at it.........
I think the best way to figure out who is in the area, at least those that want to be publicly known, is to cruise the local HD dealerships on a Saturday at lunch time. Most of the dealers have something going on, music and hot dogs, and the club guys will be out gripping and grinning with their brothers and others (especially if the dogs are free!). And often there's bulletin boards for fliers and such.
