HD Cold Weather Gauntlet Gloves
#12
I have the HD cold weather gauntlets.
Great gloves, actually. I wear a cheap-o SmartWool glove liner underneath them when it gets real cold. Perfect.
For ultra cold, I tend to switch to a pair of ski gloves. I work as a ski instructor in the winter, so I have strong opinions about gloves meant to keep me warm well below freezing, 4-5 hours at a time, at high altitude, and skiing over 40mph while gripping a pole handle.
I like Hestra gloves. Great on the mountain; great on the bike.

What are the best gloves?
I have a cheap pair of gauntlet gloves I got recently. I think they are thick and slippery, but they are warm. I don't feel comfortable riding with thick and slick gloves. Seems the gloves could be thinner on the palm side to allow for gripping the handlebars.
