Thunder Press magazine says the Harley is 95% made in the usa. Toyota Tundra is more made in the usa than the F-150, Dodge Ram or Chevy Silverado. Strange world.
Wasn't that article referrring to the 90's Evo era production when even the Showa forks were still made in the US ( not now though,) ?
This will start a sh tstorm, we might as well get used to the fact that this is now a global economy. Made in the USA has been watered down so much over the years that now it has lost it's meaning. We still manufacture some great products here, but take pride in the fact we have exported our ingenuity to the rest of the world. Without that they would still be 3rd world economies (IMHO). Remember that imitation is the greatest form of flattery.

Lots has changed in 15 years.
yes it was , current harleys are probably closer to 40 percent or less now that most of the engine components are also imported..if they had to go by the same laws as automobiles they would be labeled "assembled in USA" not made....thats why these threads always start an uproar with the die hard brand blind
