History Chanel, Vrod, what's a Vrod?
A guy rode off with his '12 Night Rod Special not 10 minutes before I rode off with my '12 Iron last October.
There weren't nearly as many VRods in the show room as any of the other bikes but I can't recall seeing the same two or three line up in there twice.

Helllllllllllllllll Yess !!!Real nice Ride. Again If I had the $ the JonMon would love to put the coal in the hole with That little Scoot.
Harley made it true. Same with Ducati,They never sold out to making a Harley look alike, That Multistrada 1200 is another dream of mine.
A person really wont see those Bikes as often as a Sportster out puting around , Money is Money of course, and They are a total different kinda ride.
But Sweet They Are.

They VRods first came out in 2002 with Fuel Injection, back then I believe they were about $25,000, they have brought the prices down alot, now they are around $15k which isn't bad. They have a very low center of gravity, infact the fuel tank is under the seat and the electronics are under a cover where the tank usually is on a bike. The exhaust does not sound exactly like a true Harley but they can be loud and sound good. I dont really like the Large Radiator on it, I wish harley would try to strip it down some. A lot of people have put tons and tons of money into their VRods. some have over $20k just in added parts.

I would mind testing one out, but I don't think I would buy one. They just don't look or sound like a harley enough to justify buying one over say a vmax. If I was looking more of a performance cruiser I'd go with triumph's rocket iii.
The vrod is a bike that just doesn't really fit a harley, nor does it exceed it's competition.

That's a V Rod Destroyer. Basically a track ready bike from the factory and aren't street legal. I think they have their own class in the All Harley Drag Racing Association.
I rode a V rod at a demo ride at the dealership and maybe it was either tuned down or just worn out, but it was the slowest bike in the group. It could barley keep up to the 883. The funny thing was they kept telling everyone how fast it was and that they were going to love it.

I ride bikes. I don't like crotch rockets but would ride one if that's all there was. I would ride a v-rod. They have a style all their own. Would it take the place of my street bob,HELL NO. Beside it though maybe
