Fox Creek Leather Experience
And BTW, if anyone wants to take a chance on my old Schott Classic Racer, it's a $630 jacket I'll let it go for $100. Should be a good fit for a size 46. The leather is fantastic, smooth and very thick. Silk liner but nothing to zip in or out for extra warmth. But this jacket has been through hell and back, and it's worn and faded to prove it. Great look, but you gotta be expecting it, ya know.
I sold my Schott to Frank.
FC makes a great and tough jacket. Mine got pretty well scraped up when I got hit and thrown off my bike. Emailed them asking how to restore the color and they sent some Doc Bailey's to me for FREE. Couldn't ask for better service than that. BTW that jacket saved my skin and kept some bones from getting broken in that "accident."
Been doing business with them for a number of yrs. Never had an issue that they did not respond and deal with is a friendly manner. Fact they are USA company and just plain folks like us makes them a good place to leave your money.
I've been wearing the Classic for years now. Outstanding jacket that will take you down into the 40's temps easily with just a pull-over underneath. That Thinsulate liner is excellent.
My Classic is very heavy leather. The heavy brass zippers, heavy duty pocket lining, etc all speak of high quality and attention to detail. My jacket weighs just under 10 pounds with nothing in the pockets - heavy leather!
PS: I always go a size or two larger than my measurements, I like my jacket roomy so I can layer up a bit if it's really cold. Too snug of a jacket irritates me as it feels confining and restricts movement of arms, etc.

Was planning a long bike trip a couple of years ago. Everything said leather was better than textile in a crash. Bought everything from Fox Creek. Grayson jacket, leather overpants, deer skin touring gloves, belt. On an interstate got nailed from the back by a guy running from the cops. Major high speed hit from the back. Lots of broken bones, zero road rash. Nothing, at all, anywhere. Was actually surprised how little damage done to the jacket, other than the EMT's having to cut it off me. Sent it back to FCL to get sewn back together. Took care of that no charge. Sizes do run small, order a bit larger. Have already purchased another Grayson jacket. For sure vests and overpants are to follow. Gotta wear your gear folks, hot or cold. Hitting the ground at 80 plus would have chewed me up without all the leather.
