Default Looking to buy.........

a 2007 Ultra Classic. This will be my first HD. I've been reading some of the posts about the kinds of deals people have been able to swing. Looking out of state is not out of the question, but I found a local (Indiana) dealer willing to sell (out the door) at MSRP and waive freight and dealer setup/prep.

I'm confident I could also get 10% discount on accessories, etc.

Sounds like a descent deal to me, but wondered what others think.

Thanks!
Steve

My local dealer is offering 0 down and 0% apr for the life of the loan. They also state if you buy now you warranty won't start until April 07. I don't know what kind of deal you could swing now (there are alot of bikes on the floor) but normally they sell at MSRP plus frieght and set up. You also get 20% off all extras at time of sell and 10% off for the next year.

If the dealer will waive those fees it sound like a good deal. Just a thought though, did you look to see if there were any 06's still on the floor? Might be able to get a real good deal on one.

Sounds fair for this time of year. Try getting away without paying the frieght and setup charges later in the year, like spring and they will probably laugh at you.
If you can't get the 10% for "extras" leave, its kind of common for the stealers to give you that on a new bike, IF you buy the extra goodies the same day.
Come back in a week and its another story. But I think they may be having a nationwide sale, at least all the dealers around here are, 10% off on a lot of stuff for the holidays and just for being winter.

That's a good deal. Most (or maybe just a good amount) of dealers sell at msrp, a good amount sell over, and a very few sell below msrp. Getting dealer set up and stuff for free is a nice plus, but I'm not sure if many people have gotten freight taken off also or not. I'd say go for it though.

And the 10% off accessories doesn't even seem like adding into it though since you can order everything from zanotti's for 20% off anytime. Maybe it'd be worth it if you bought a lot of cloths or something, but you might be able to live without those.

The deal has to be satisfactory to you but I can vouch for the '07 Ultra; couldn't be happier unless it came 103 from the factory with a good power tune.

That's a better deal than I got, but then it was July. They did throw in an extra headset. I do prefer to buy local, but that's just me. I'd go for it.

The 10% off is worthless, my dealer gave it also but I never used it. Zanotti's is fast, good service and always 20% off.

Go for the '07. You won't be disappointed.

Sounds like a good deal to me given its an Ultra and the time of year.

Dealer should give you an incentive of 10%-15% of accessories
