Took delivery of an 07 streetglideNovember 30th fromlocal HD dealer. Just found out through area commerical that the same dealer is offering $1,000 off or shopping spree for bikes purchased between dec 1 and dec 31. Checked into the matter and was told the offer doesnt apply to purchases prior to the 1st and will not honor the november 30th sale.To say I am pissed is an understatement. Does anyone know how I can find out who the HDarea representative is to file a complaint.Am I wasting my time?

 

Yup, waist of time. Like many rebates and such, there are time frames. Just ride and enjoy the bike.

 

I dont think it will do any good.You bought your bikeprior to offer.

I've heard of similar things where the dealer splits the difference and in this case would give you a $500 store credit. But obviously all dealers do things differently. I'dtry to haggle something out of them. Pursuing this through the HD rep would be a waste of time.

 

U just wait.....the DAY after Christmas, EVERYTHING will be on sale. and just fyi,Nov 30th is NOT between 1 Dec and 31 Dec.

I would feel a bit betrayed by my salesman tho. You can be that he was fully aware of the upcoming sale, and could have mentioned to you, that you might want to hold off a day.

Kinda the same thing here, I bought my SG at the begining of Oct, my buddy bought one the end of Oct. His was 1,000 off MSRP, mine was MSRP. I spoke with the manager at the Stealer about the price difference, and was told that I paid the right price for the bike at the time....so I told the manager that I will not be buying my next bike from them, I hope it was worth it for them. Also I do not recomend that dealer to my friends, I recomend the next closest one, which is a very good dealer (Detroit Harley), and probably the one I will buy the next bike from. Good luck, just don't let it get to ya, just know that in the long run, they will lose more then they would have giving you the fair price.
