Sea Foam in the oil tank??
Anyone do this? It's supposed to really help clean out the engine and remove any carbon build-up.
I'm approaching 9,000 miles. Would you add it to the old oil and run it thru, or wait until after the 10k service and add it to the fresh oil? I understand it may smoke a lot for a period of time while it's doing it's cleaning.
I was thinking about 3 oz total in the oil, and 5 ounces in the gas (don't want to overdo it.

So I take it you have nothing worthwhile to contribute? I can't even figure out what you're trying to say.

I changed my cams and bearings back last year at 81,000 miles and there wasn't a speck of dirt or stain in the entire cam chest.
I trust that the rest of the innards were just as clean. Not worth it IMO.

The directions are on the can. I am to lazy to go out to the garage. I have never done it, but if I remember you do it right before your oil change. It would be bad to put in after an oil change.
Here is a good thread:

That's kind of what I was thinking. Then all that junk would have to circulate thru the motor for another 5k miles, or I'd have to change the oil again within a couple hundred miles.
I've seen that a lot of people use the stuff in their gas, but hadn't read anywhere about using it in their oil (except on-line for old cars). Directions on the can call for 1.5 oz per quart of oil, and 1 oz per gallon of gas.
