+1 - The digital dipsticks are junk. The analog last for forever.

This one worked OK since 2009. The LED part id OK and think the problem is in the stick part.

I'll take the old paperweight and swap the parts. It will work or I'll a paper weight to.

PM sent!

I fell for the new gadget when I bought the bike in Dec 02. It worked for about 4 years, then stopped. Thought the battery died, but the unit failed. The stock chrome cover has worked great since. Good luck. Chris

Why would anyone need an LED device to determine if they're a dipstick?

Just ask one of your buds.

My LED dipstick is going on 3 yrs. So far so good. I have a analog one also that works just as good. I switch them out ever so often.

I believe #1 reason dipsticks fail....people do not TWIST the stick to take them out. They would rather ROCK them back and forth. I KNOW...I saw my INDY do it, just as mine broke.

Got one coming from Harleyrider49. When I got it I though it was pretty neat. I'll see if I can get it to work. Think its in the dipstick part.

Yep, analog never fails!
