Exactly! I bought my current bike 6 years ago as a salvage titled bike.t was a light rollover with cosmetic damage.I went over the bike with a fine tooth comb before purchase to make sure there was no frame damage. I then either repaired or replaced the damaged parts then took it back to the dealer I bought it from and he had the bike inspected by State Police guy that came right to his shop. Title is now reading "rebuilt". In Michigan once a vehicle is wrecked in any way and declared "salvage it can never have a completly clean title again. I did not buy it to resell it. I plan to keep it and someday my son will get it. It is a 97 Electra Glide Classic. It had low miles when I got it. Not anymore, but it is still running strong.

Considering how little it seems to take for an insurance company to total a bike these days, hell yes.

Check this place out.

No, I wouldn't touch a rebuilt title. Reselling or trading it is a pain, and some insurance companies won't insure them.
