Default Can’t believe it happened to me!

Well after 26 years I went down, I never said it because I didn’t want to jinx myself, but I never thought it would happen to me.

A lot of reasons, bad intersection, oily road, riding buddy stopped unexpectedly. But, bottom line, my bike, my responsibility.

Here comes the preaching. I and my girl were both wearing helmets, mesh jackets with hard pads for elbow, shoulders and back. The crash bars and the gear did their jobs, so we rode away with only scratches to the bars, our jackets, our helmets, along with a big hit to my pride.

I really can’t believe I went down and I can’t believe how fast it happened.

Glad your ok, no bashing here. Just one of the reasons I like riding alone. I figure I have enough to worry about with all the cages to not have to worry about what a buddy on another bike is going to do.

Glad you both are ok. I wear ff helmet full leather and boots too but. Your story makes me think more and more about back, elbow and knee armour.
Pride hurts but, it's better than road rash!

That sucks, but at least you're basically OK. Pride probably hurt more than anything else.

Glad the biggest thing hurt was pride, still not a good thing. Over the last 40 years have had 3 trips to the hospital and 2 casts. It happens.

I've been riding with this guy for over 10 years, this is the first yellow light he ever stopped at!

We wear it most of the time, but to be honest, sometime it just too hot. Obviously, we'll be wearing it all the time now.
Can't say enough about the armor. I hit hard, I'm sure I would have been going to the hospital without it. Looking for new leather with armor for both of us now.

That really sucks, but as has already been said, the only really hurt thing was your pride. I'm very glad to hear you were both okay. No biggie. Brush it off. Don't let this linger in your head on your future rides. That can be a very bad thing.

IT does happen. With 26 under your belt, say youve done pretty well for the first one
