No. I have a fuel injected '07 with Stage 1 and went from stock headers with SE slip-ons to a 2-1 Thunderheader and all's good.

You shouldn't have to re-jet your carb, as the back pressure for the two exhaust systems are similar.

I am not experienced with the Mikuni carb but as a general rule if the engine backfires, pops or spits through the air cleaner this indicates a lean condition and the intermediate jet should be larger. Backfiring through the exhaust indicates a rich condition. Stumbling or burbling or feeling sluggish on acceleration probably means the main jet needs to be leaner. My limited knowledge is based or running S&S carbs. If you think you have a problem see if you can get an instruction manual from Mikuni.

I doubt if you will have these problems resulting from just this exhaust change. Good luck.

Check your plugs; white = lean - black = rich - light brown = just right

No they are not. Thry have a nice deep sound unlike some of those obnoxious drag pipes.
Have you ever heard Thunderheaders?
