Didn't bother me much. Kinda funny. I was just riding to a nice motorcycle shop up the 2 Fwy near Montrose, Ca (Angeles Crest motorcycle gateway in So Cal). And some crotch rocket kid felt the need to pass me. Seemed to admire my bike as he went by. I didn't feel the need to catch him at the time.

Then he popped a nice wheelie at 50 mph on the long off ramp, for a good 10 seconds or longer. When we met at the light I just gave him a thumbs up and said "hardcore." Smiling. He seemed pleased and a few blocks down he did that silly rear wheelie thing at a stoplight.

I probably shouldn't have encouraged him.

He was flying some colors on his leather vest. I think it read Future Organ Donors of America. Not sure.

Are we maybe speaking of a stoppie?

Most motorcyclist recognize a nice bike no matter the genre. And yours fits that description.

I wonder what we oldsters would have done with the hot rods these kids ride nowadays, if we'd had the chance back in '69.

I hope they live long enough to get it out of their systems too...

Same thing happened to me a couple months ago, except he held the wheelie for a couple miles. Also I was driving my mothers Buick.

I think I see the next reality show, young crotch rockets against young Harley riders.

Who can win the dumb and dumber award.

Narrated by a group of us old farts that lived though it already.

Some of the Rice Rocket guys down here have some really nice rides. I couldn't ride one for any length of time but enjoy when they have their bike show things.
