I get that. I've tried for years to tell my wife that and finally gave up. She'd sigh sometimes when her Mom would call at a somewhat inconvenient time, and I'd say, "you know you don't have to answer it, right?". Oh well.

I always carry my phone. I use it for tunes and GPS(if needed/wanted) when riding.

Doug: You don't need a GPS to diScover America.

You need a bike and you need the road, OK?

Woody: Freedom. And if we have an emergency, I got a cell phone.

Doug: No you don't. - What?

Woody: Hey! Why did you do that? I got all my data in there!

I never leave home without. As stated, I sure wouldn't hear it ring though.

But I have used it one time from the side of the road out in the boonies when we had a flat tire.

I try to remember to bring it. On short rides, I usually end up forgetting it. On longer rides, when I'm actually packing for a trip, I'll bring it. Haven't had to use it yet during a ride, but ya never know!

Mine stays in my conceal carry pocket or in my cargo slot on my fairing. My cell phone has saved a few lives in situations before, so it always goes with me.

mine is also with me and on 24/7. I no longer have a land line. Most everybody texts me knowing I'm likely to be on the bike at weekends and commuting to work so there is no point ringing it. It's in my jeans pocket so I can feel it 'vibrating' (no rude comments from the cheap seats thank you!), if there were several calls in a row or I've arranged to meet somebody I'll pull over and check it.

I have a "dumb phone" and have it with me. It's usually in the tourpak turned off.

I carry mine but do not answer unless it is convenient. And I have road side assistance on speed dial - just in case.
