Here comes the personal preference thread again. My first impression of a bagger will be with me forever it is the FLT/FLH with shield and bags.

Hard bags and a trunk. Back when I was younger they was called dressers or full dresser and that's what they be. Anything other than that was just a bike with saddle bags....IIRC, can't even remember what I just had for breakfast. Who knows what they call what now a days.

Shields and bags and siting up extra straight and proper when you ride. A fairing seals the deal.

Hi all, I've been lurking for a little while and decided I would join in the fray. Been riding for 27 years on the road and 40 years total so I've been around some.

I rode a Buell for years and stayed out of the "biker" scene and didn't keep up with terminology or new Harley's very much. I missed the switch from dresser and full dresser to bagger as well. People look at me funny now when I use that term at bike shops, like I was from another planet. No, just another era.

I still use dresser or full dresser when talking about them.

Even with Road King Classic bags on my Fatboy, I don't consider it a true "bagger". Fairing/windshield, tour pack, hard bags, stereo = bagger.
