Default Heritage bars? From who? Bars for a tall guy?

have a 2012 fatboy. The bars suck. I'm tall and have long arms. Research suggests that Heritage bars are the best and use all stock cables and wire lengths. Does a company make these other than Harley? What should I know before I order a set?

The Harley Heritage bars are only $79 new. You can probably find a used set for half that.

Point of reference - there are Heritage bars and there are Heritage STYLE bars. Not sure, but I think most bagger owners buy the Heritage STYLE bar. It has 3 more inches of pull back than a stock Road King bar (which also suck). Check them out in your 2013 parts catalog and talk to your dealer.

That pullback in important. My stock Heritage bars stuck out like bullhorns and my wrists hurt after about 30 minutes. They were the first thing to go. In addition (IMO) they looked like ***.

Also in '09 the bend changed. You can test the 'new' bend by sitting on a new (or '09/later) Heritage. For many the 'new' bend is far more comfy on long rides. Looks much better too.
