Today was my 60th ride this winter from Nov. 1st. Put on over 7,400 miles since then. Most was on my 07 FXSTC.

It has not been washed since fall and has not rotted away as some thought. NW Illinois is a beautiful area to ride year round. Even when it is snow covered.

Wow! And I was complaining about 40*+ weather here.

I'd like snow here IF we didn't get ice on the roads. It snows, gets warm and melts the snow, then freezes at night. Rinse and repeat. That's the part that sucks.

Have rode at least once or twice each month this winter thought that was good .7,400 miles that is great. I would ride more but they salt the crap out of the roads here in NJ.

I didn't think Illinois was a beautiful ANYTHING last time I was there..

Love the FXSTC, but you should wash it. it's too nice a bike to leave dirty, and they don't make it anymore; you should take care of it.

I live in Florida & I think I rode once this winter. Been too busy house hunting & getting mine ready for sale. And it's been sunny & around 80* almost every day. I know I'm gonna kick my self for that.

There are a lot of things wrong in California, and I can't wait to retire and leave, but I get to ride in good weather all year long. Also, there are some awesome canyon and mounrian roads in SoCal. This makes for some very good days on the road.

It won't rot away in 3 months.
It will start in about 3 years though.

I'd be rinsing the salt off after every ride, but your bike your choice.

Congrats on all the miles this winter, most don't do that in a full year.

That's awesome you got that many miles in....I just can't do the cold weather like that not to mention all the salt isn't worth it to me.

I have to disagree with Illinois being beautiful...there is nothing beautiful about this state, except some areas in the far southern tip. Everything else is just flat & boring with shitty weather.
