I just did a trip like that down 66 in oklahoma for a weekend. Except it rained so we took the car. For a few weeks before my wife kept saying check out places to plan. I refused and half through the trip she was like you were right this is fun. Have fun on your get away.

My wife said two weeks ago she wanted us to load the scooters up in our toy hauler and head south till we found weather warm enough to ride. The trailer doesn't come out of storage till 4/13. Might as well stay here now.

Next month, we're going to Shreveport for our 10th wedding anniversary. It'll be our first time there, our first out of state ride and our longest ride by an hour.

You are only about 3 hours from Vicksburg if you get on the big road in Shreveport (I-20) You will love the Vicksburg Battlefields got casinos there too if that's one of the drawing cards for Shreveport Also in Shrevepot not but about :45 mins from the Bonnie and Clyde ambush site near Arcadia

Check out Coyote's Biker Bar... Biker Bar in the truest sense of the word.. Very friendly folks, cheap beer, and within an easy ride of any of the casinos (less than 10 minutes)..

My wife and I did that 2 weeks ago. Didn't know exactly where we were going, just pointed the bike at Big Bend and took off. Made a big loop through South TX, hit the Hill Country and home again 7 days later. Nothing like a long ride to clear your mind.
