Does anyone know where I can find some good quality tools for a cheaper price than what they sell out of catalogs. I am a do it your selfer I guess and instead of paying $300 for a tool I might use once every few years, I'd rather try and find one online or a shop southern CT for cheaper. I really need a cam bearing removal and installation tool for an evolution, and they sell them separately for about $150 each. Just Curious

Try
1. ebay
2. Craigslist
3. Harbor Freight

Harley dealers that sell online typically offering lower prices
1. Surdyke HD
2. NewcastleHD

You can Google the part you want and check the hits for the quality and price you are looking for.

Finding the best price on the part you are looking for will take some work on your part.

You might try Georges Garage. Not sure about the web site, I think it's www.georges-garage.com.

Blind cam remover, puller for the Torrington. Some bolt cutters for the pushrods, you'll be adding adjustable for the bigger lobes on the new cam, right?

I've had the best luck on ebay. Recently, I purchased a mainshaft inner race removal tool for $90.00. Less than 1/2 the price of a comparable Jim's tool!

Check out this user on ebay. A high quality tool at an affordable price.

Avoid the cheap, imported crap. But I wouldn't worry about warranty. To save the most money, look for deals on quality, used tools.

+ 10 on George's garage. Quality tools at reasonable prices and George is a great guy to work with and a forum sponsor to boot.
