Default Mixing nitrogen air mixture

When I bought my new tire it was nitrogen filled. When I checked the tire pressure it was low, can I just add air or does it need to be nitrogen ?

I run a blend of 80% nitrogen 20% oxygen, so if there is a leak I don't soffocate.

Nope. Mixing the two will create sulphur hexafluoride . Super dangerous. I really wish people would do research before going nitrogen. There are so many inert gas mixtures killing everyone every day. Google it. The side effects are a really weird voice, then instant death (which the YouTube videos won't show)

Can you tell the UFC I am watching is as boring as watching paint dry?

/please tell me you aren't serious

You have to be very careful when adding air, especially from unknown sources. Most gas station air hoses contain a large quantity of DiHydrogen Monoxide. This stuff kills thousands of people yearly. You can see it as a vapor if you first blast the air out of the air hose before you fasten to the valve stem. Try to purge it from the air hose before filling your tires. DiHydrogen Monoxide is insidious and is quite dangerous if not handled correctly, you don't want it in your lungs that's for sure and will severely burn you at high temperatures if you get any on your skin. Here's more info that'll scare the daylights out of you. http://www.dhmo.org/facts.html

It's clear you've got a good handle on it. I can handle it if you neutralize it with the right amount of alcohol, I just can't believe how pervasive it is, especially in our schools and even our faucets at home!

It's OK as long as you don't mix summer air with winter nitrogen.

Depends where you put your gas cap when you fill the tank.
