Default air compressor and impact gun

I will be needing an impact gun to swap out my lower legs on my Streetglide and was wondering if the following sounds like a good deal and if it will have enough power.
Harbor Freight - 2 Horsepower, 4, 125 PSI Twin Tank Air Compressor
Coupon code has this for $99. I can copy and post if anyone else is interested.

Trying to get this done on a budget so appreciate any advise from those that know. I figure it would be good to have a compressor / air gun for other mods in future, just not sure if this particular one would be strong enough for regular maintenance and stuff like that.

It will probably not have enough power for an impact wrench. It's rated at 3.5 CFM @90 psi. Most impact wrenches require more than that so you won't get full torque. If you look at the specs for impact wrenches on HF you'll see that they require a minimum of 4 CFM @ 90 psi (some much more). Those type of compressors are fine for things like small nail guns and inflating tires, but aren't really meant for things like impact wrenches (and sanders and grinders).

general rule of thumb:

multiply the air tool requirement by 1.5

impact gun air rating 4cfm at 90 psi = 1.5 x 4 = 6 cfm <-------- look for a compressor rated to that flow

This. You'll need at least 6 CFM and a 3/8" hose.

If you really need a pneumatic impact driver you'll need a bigger compressor.

Fatboy Brian, did you use the handheld for the bleeder screws or the screws in bottom of leg that hold the bushing in place? I think that one is an allen head if not mistaken. If the handheld would work that would save me alot of money.

Thanks for all the replies and feedback.

I used it on both. It's a 6mm allen bolt in the bottom on the forks, you will need a long allen socket. I've done a bunch of these for myself and friends. Unless you need a impact gun for other things this tool is all you need. I think I paid like 9 or 10 bucks for mine.
