Question Strange Sensation

I dont really know how to describe this ocassional sensation i experience now and again. Sometimes when I'm riding, it seems as if either both wheels have about an inch of play laterally or there are tiny marbles covering the roadway, or as if i'm "hydro-plaining" on air. It is a vey strange sensation and pretty alarming when it starts up. It can be very windy here in Corpus and have thought that might be the cause, however, I have gone riding in winds hard enough to cause me to lean quite a bit while still maintaining a straight path and it doesn't happen. Some have speculated the tire pressure, but that is not it. Some have said cold tires, it was 95 degrees out. Does anyone have a clue of what this is or have you experienced it? Also, just an FYI, i do not do drugs and i do not ride when drinking.

After reading what your feeling when you're riding...all I can say is that I hope I never feel that. It'd scare me to death.

Thanks fellas, but that is not the case, at least on the last trip. This happens on asphalt or concrete. With tar snakes and without. I can tell you this too, it isnt the bike, cause the other scooter did it also.

I'd bet on rain grooves also. Especially as you said it does it to you on the other bike.

I wouldn't be sure it isn't the bike. You have two bikes with laced wheels. Check them for loose spokes.

I'm not trying to rebuttal you guys, but I've looked for all this stuff. It just doesnt happen on one type of road surface. It is crazy ****. I think i will start logging all weather conditions every time now, it happens pretty frequently, say, once every 6 times out.

Bugs me too when mine does that. Often I can't see the cause of it.
