Battery Tender or Trickle Charger?
#11
I go for the schumacher, pulse tech or solargizer.
I have several chargers, including a battery tender (that I like less and less as it has been the only charger that I've had two failures (dead cells)).
The first three are models that have maintainer/de-sulfanator modes.
Besides those I also own a standard (quick charge) that I use only on large vehicle batteries (never the cycle).
A good charger will pay for itself with reduced battery replacements.
I own 9 vehicles and have cut down battery replacements by using chargers with desulfanators. Most of my batteries are over 5 years old and I have 4 that are closing in on 10 yrs (including my bike).

I have Battery Tender Jr. and a couple Battery Minders. The Battery Minders I bought on line, they have a desulfation mode. Who knows if it works but it sounds good.

I have two Deltrans... a "junior" (0.75 amp) and the "regular" (1.25 amp). Both work flawlessly! I hadn't heard about desulafating chargers, but now I'm going to have to look into that technology.
