Advice needed ASAP please- value of custom dyna
Hi gents, like the title says I'm looking for opinions as to the value of a bike that was offered to me. I'm typically pretty good with known stock bike values.
I would like to know what I could reasonably get if I sold this bike. I know I'm going to get the "a bike is worth what someone will pay". However, I'm just looking for opinions as to what the bike would bring if i were to trade for it then sell it.
Please disregard the 19k figures he's talking about, I.know that high.
Thanks in advance for the help!

I forgot those numbers were in his email.
Thought? What do you think the actual value is?

I would rather have a near stock 02 Dyna to build as I liked, not someone else's vision of what a bike should look like. To me the front end looks way too raked out for the frame height of the bike. not very eye appealing. I would have to change a few things on it which would affect the bottom line price. However, some money would be reclaimed selling the "take off" parts on e-bay. The engine upgrade doesn't account for much because changing from an 88" to a 95" motor should have been a factory recall in my opinion for how poor in performance those original 88" motors were. Taking all that into consideration I would say it's worth in the $10K to $12K neighborhood (to me anyway). I'd say you'd do good trading it for a Jeep worth 8-10K.

I'd have to change so much on that thing, its not worth anything to me either-I'd say it's worth the cost of the engine and drivetrain-$6000-? On a good day. That dumb rake looks like hell. Keep the Jeep!

If you're trading your Jeep for it..and you think your Jeep is worth 8-10k...that you could actually sell your Jeep for 9 or 10K....it's a close trade IMO. If you think your Jeep "might" fetch 8 grand all sold...you might be able to trade for this bike, sell the bike for 9 maybe 10.....and make a little profit.
Pretty close call though.
