Default Power commander ?

I am going to get a cable to load this map onto my commander. My question is does the power commander have to be attached to the bike and the bike have the power on for it to take? I do not have the battery thing that you attach so I have to do it with bike on right?

I got a cheapy on ebay. The only thing that didn't come with it were the paper instructions. Thanks for the info. I'm off to get the cable now...

Well the paper instructions and the 9volt attachment.

On my Dyna the bike has to be actually running to get everything to talk correctly.

I'll be talking to mine in the morning. I'm tired, but got the cable so a new map will be installed in the morning. It runs pretty good with the map that is on it, but I want to get rid of the popping when I downshift to 2nd. So someone gave a map to try, and it is all ready to install bright an early...

you can go to the PC website and downlaod all the instruction manuals you want, all the info is there. But...it needs to be connected to the bike like you were to ride it, and some bikes it will work with just the ignition on, and some bikes have to be actually running. You can tell if the lights on the PC stay on after you turn on the key, if they go out, you probly need the bike to be running. Good luck

Annubiss...

If you have the PCIIIusb, try downloading the 'Accel Pump' software from DynaJet's website. Can pay-off huge if you are looking for some snappy pick-up under heavier throttle.

Makes some difference in fuel mileage, but it is fun to play with.
