Does removing the cat change the sound at all, or just increase performance and reduce heat.
I wanted to change my slip ons to something a little louder but not obnoxious. I currently have Screaming Eagle Street Cannons on my 2010 Ultra Classic Limited.
Will removing the cat make the sound any better? If so, that will be a nice cost savings. This may be a stupid question, but is this done by just changing the head pipes?
The street cannons sound ok when you really hit the throttle, but I would like something a little louder.
lots of topics on this subject, many opinions. Regarding one thing that is constant, is this will reduce some of the heat. Everything else is arguable. TBS, I did it to my '11 Dyna and was pleased.
I interpreted the title of this thread to mean something completely different. I assumed you hit a cat and got it wedged or burned onto some part of your bike.
Yet, I still clicked on the thread... What's that say about me?

I think this thread is about the Cadillac converter.
