I've listed bikes over value just to keep the OL from nagging me about it, but I'd at least set the price at a spot where someone with too much money and a big hard on for a bike might actually pay. I figure if it sells, I turn around, buy another bike and pocket the nice profit.

The ad in the OP was pulled, so I didn't see the bike, but based on the responses it didn't sound like anything special. $28.5 K doesn't sound like a guy just trying to make his wife happy. Sounds like a guy trying to get back every penny he sank into it and then some.

Well If my wife told me that I had to sell my bike,
there is no damn way That I would ask, or take Less
than 35,000.00 CASH. But I think God my wife loves
me enough not to even think about asking.

Those people are literally on crack. Once upon a time, bikes were being sold for about 3k less than that. But, there was no other way to get them, because the waiting list for a Harley was 3 years long.

Thing of it is, it only looks that way until the wax melts, and then, all you have is a scooter that's built to rack up the miles. Of course, there's always going to be some dipstick that's going to screw with you for it all, but then, that's the way it goes. Some people are simply stuck in a field somewhere in 1944.

One of these days, I'm going to get lucky enough to catch the dope shooting MFer who thinks it's ok to lay hands on my ride, and help him celebrate July 4th instead.
