Default jumping under acceleration

I have a 2001 Electraglide with45k miles. When I accelerate under load it feels as if the belt is jumping. The belt is adjusted correctly. The clutch is also adjusted correctly. Could it be a worn compensator?

I doubt it (compensator,) on a 2001. Those early bikes didn't typically have issues. If not the belt, then the front pulley might be spinning on the splined tranny shaft if it has gotten loose somehow.

Otherwise, check each tooth on the belt too for MIA's.

Does it feel this way when accelerating in all gears? Does it only in higher gears. If only when your getting to higher gears I will say clutch slipping. In all gears something else.

I would guess clutch adjustment since at 45K miles the belt and sprockets should be OK.

1st thing that I though of also.

Clutch can be adjusted right and still slip a little.

Also I don't recommend using full synthetic oil in the primary. This can cause slippage

Couple of years back, cruising in 5th on the 05 Dyna started feeling jerks. Ended up being a bad plug. New plugs and all was fine.

Thanks everybody. Checked the belt closer and looks like it's about shot. Gonna have to replace it and the sprockets.
