I spoke to my local Harley guy who has his own shop now and he said that the dealership i'm dealing with are very reputable guys, they won't sell a used bike unless every thing checks out, he use to work with them a couple years back and he said he himself will buy/deal with them guys if he is buying a Harley, he did say that the pipes that is on there now is crap or in his own word "garbage" so hopefully the guy i was talking to did find another pipe he can install..

Did you ask Eastside Harley Davidson why the bike is advertised as a "fixer upper"? Is it just the pipes that need fixing?

"FIXER-UPPER Harley Davidson Sportster 1200 Custom XL1200C with detachable backrest & luggage rack and stage 1 with exhaust.

WRAP YOUR FISTS AROUND THE DRAG-STYLE HANDLEBAR AND HANG ON TO A MOTORCYCLE THAT DOESN’T KNOW THE MEANING OF ENOUGH."

I did mentioned it and I think it's because of the pipe..he just emailed me and said that i don't really need stage 1 for a stock pipe..is that right??

not for just the pipes. if you mess with the AC as well then i'd recommend it or an aftermarket tuner.

not that the stage 1 download is all that great but its better than not having it.

One thing I know that pipe is going away, and he did say they will tune it for me, whatever that means,Thanks for all the help I just need all the info i can get to make the right decision before this Saturday..

Besides installing the stock exhaust, make sure it had a full service, fresh fluids. Don't take their word for nothing, check the dipstick to make sure the oil is clean.

vikz250 02-24-2014 08:25 PM

Upflying yes i will but I don't have to have stage1 for a stock pipes right??

vikz250 02-24-2014 08:28 PM

i also told the guy to send me some pictures once they install the stock pipes, so I can show it to you guys..again thanks i know its not the best looking Harley but i am too impatient to wait for 6 months and hope i can get a better deal, the fact that they are going to deliver and pick up my old bike is good on my end, and yes its free of charge for delivery its part of the deal..

No, Stage 1 is for the Screaming Eagle air cleaner and pipes.(or aftermarket equivelent)
No tune is needed for stock pipes and air cleaner, but it is ok to have it.
Nice to hear about pickup and delivery, gets cold riding in Washington this time of the year.
