Hey Bill you opened a thread I'm interested in. The trouble is My lady and I haven't found anyone to travel with. Debra and I just finished 4000 mile trip to Oregon with the Hauler and 900 0n the harley. I have camped with tents , timeout, Motels and now 35 ft toy hauler that is out home base . Where looking at Yellowstone then sturgis, then cripple creek POWMIA rally starts Aug 17 in colorado, it would be cool to travel with another couple thinking there are others like our self. I live in a very desirable climate fine county for riding. Where taking off for Quartzsite AZ Jan and feb for the largest RV rally with the Roadie, Most of the RVers are into class A and a lot older pulling jeeps.

I have a buddy who does it, well he has an RV and a Victory. I guess it's the same. Just as upflying said, he said it got old pretty quick. And he has a pretty big one, 5th wheel with numerous of those things that slide out. It still got old pretty quick.

It only gets old if the weather gets bad and I cant ride. Sequoia national national forest is some of the best riding I have done and I have done many highly sought after rides. We follow the Hog map the roads are good with a lot of winding roads is my trip. Will pull a while stop at some casino and ride my favorite is tucson in Jan . I just cant get my self motivated about florida.

That's pretty writing, but it's not a Louis l'amour book. I RV like 5 months a year. I know a lot of folks are full timers no way for me. Its nice to have a home base wile traveling with the Harley 5 months out of the year. If your in my part of the arid desert Mountains of N M pm me I have space for a Rv and Harley.

Myself and my girlfriend lived in my 28' trailer on the banks of the Umpqua river by the fish ladder back in 1980. A place called Winchester Oregon. I could have stayed there forever but after a while she longed for a house. Before the house we also gypsied around staying at state parks for two weeks at a time in places like Doheny and San Clemente state parks here in SoCal. I loved it and hope to do it again someday. Better start saving up! Also lived in Wolf Creek Ore. on a mining claim in the early seventies. Love that part of Oregon ynots.
Love Winchester/North Bend/Ten Mile Lake area. That ride from Reedsport to Drain along the Umpqua River is one of the best, scenic, fun roads and going by the Elk Refuge almost always see elk.
